Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using FreeInvoiceNow. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, please do not use the service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, using the guest invoice builder, or otherwise accessing FreeInvoiceNow (the "Service"), you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, have read these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms, in which case "you" refers to both you and that entity.
2. Description of Service
FreeInvoiceNow is a free, web-based invoicing tool that allows users to create, customise, download, and manage professional invoices. Core features include:
- Invoice creation with multiple templates;
- PDF generation and download;
- Client management;
- Payment status tracking;
- Multi-currency support;
- Guest mode (no account required for basic use).
The Service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future; core invoicing functionality will remain free.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
To save invoices and access the full feature set, you must register for an account using a valid email address. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hi@freeinvoicenow.com of any suspected unauthorised access.
We recommend using a strong, unique password (minimum 12 characters including uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a special character).
3.3 One Account Per User
Each registration is for a single user only. You may not share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent any usage policies.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Create or distribute fraudulent, forged, or otherwise illegal invoices;
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations, including anti-money laundering and tax laws;
- Impersonate any person, business, or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Upload, transmit, or store malicious code, viruses, or any content that could harm the Service or its users;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its servers, or any third-party systems connected to it;
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without our prior written consent;
- Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair its infrastructure.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these restrictions without prior notice.
5. Your Content
5.1 Ownership
You retain full ownership of all content you create or upload to the Service, including invoice data, logos, and client information ("Your Content"). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Content.
5.2 Licence to Us
By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This licence terminates when you delete Your Content or close your account.
5.3 Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring that it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights or applicable laws. We do not review or verify the accuracy or legality of invoices you create.
5.4 Data Accuracy
FreeInvoiceNow is a tool to assist you in creating invoices. We are not responsible for errors in VAT calculations, tax rates, currency conversions, or any financial or legal outcome arising from invoices you create. Always verify figures with a qualified accountant or tax adviser.
6. Intellectual Property
The FreeInvoiceNow brand, logo, website design, invoice templates, source code, and all other intellectual property belonging to the Service are the exclusive property of FreeInvoiceNow and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you a licence to use our intellectual property other than as strictly necessary to use the Service.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, nor reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the software, unless you have our prior written permission or are permitted to do so by law.
7. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may occasionally need to perform maintenance, apply updates, or respond to security incidents. We will endeavour to give advance notice of planned downtime where practicable.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the Service as a whole at any time. Where reasonably possible, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before discontinuing a core feature that registered users rely on.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
FreeInvoiceNow does not provide legal, financial, accounting, or tax advice. The invoice templates and currency tools are for informational and administrative convenience only. You should consult appropriate professional advisers for legal and financial matters.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FreeInvoiceNow and its affiliates, directors, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed €50 EUR (or the equivalent in your local currency).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FreeInvoiceNow and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- your use of the Service in violation of these Terms;
- Your Content, including any infringement of third-party rights;
- your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
11. Termination
11.1 By You
You may close your account at any time via the Settings page or by emailing hi@freeinvoicenow.com. Upon deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days (see our Privacy Policy).
11.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if we have reasonable grounds to believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or if the account poses a security or legal risk to the Service or other users.
11.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 12) will continue to apply.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence that cannot be waived by contract.
We encourage you to contact us first if you have a dispute — most issues can be resolved quickly and amicably. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for registered users, provide at least 14 days' notice by email or in-app banner before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
